Zune would be a model of digital media products and services manufactured by Microsoft. Zune included a brand of portable media players, digital media player software for Windows PCs, a music subscription service termed as 'Zune Music Pass', music and video streaming services for that Xbox 360 elite gaming console through the Zune Software, music, TV and movie sales, and desktop sync software for Windows Phone. Zune Technical specifications The operating system for the Zune devices is based on the Windows CE kernel for ARM architecture and uses a distribution similar to the Portable Media Center.
